1. When an order is received for FEES/Videostroboscopy, simply call or email Florida Voice and Swallowing Diagnostics, and we can be out within 48 hours to perform the procedure. We are sometimes even able to provide same-day service. You can call us, email us or send a request from our website.

2. We set up at the patient's bedside and provide all of the diagnostic equipment. We provide our own materials (we will check for any allergies before the procedure), though we are also happy to test the actual food, liquid and/or medication the patient is already ingesting. This gives us a functional and realistic view of the patient's actual swallowing.

3. Immediately after the procedure, we will leave high-quality, full-color images and our report in your patient's chart, so there is no hunting down anything. We are happy to leave your facility with a digital copy of the recording, as well as going over anything with your team, the family and the patient. We also serve as a consultant for your facility for no extra charge.

4. We evaluate a variety of compensatory strategies while performing the procedure to make sure our recommendations are functional and doable for your patient and facility which increases the quality of life for your patients and decreases extra costs to your facility. This also helps prevent later re-hospitalizations and impacts to the patient and your facility.

5. Your facility SLP can bill the 92526 dysphagia treatment CPT code while assisting with the procedure, so there is no loss of productivity for that day!

6. Because your facility SLP can bill that same day, there are no lost therapy minutes while the patient is gone for skilled residents, which means no denial of facility SLP claims the day the patient goes out for managed care residents. Your facility is also able receive the procedure allowable back for any LTC residents.

7. FEES provides objective and measurable data to prove medical necessity of speech therapy services and document progress, or lack thereof, to justify accurate calculation of RUG levels.
